Abstract
This article is devoted to the review of innovative activity in the Russian Federation, namely to studying of practical aspects of carrying out state regulation of this activity. The analysis of ways of the state support of innovative activity in the Russian Federation is carried also out. The conducted research allows to claim that only with joint participation of the public and private sector it is possible to realize socially oriented strategy of innovative development, and also to create more favorable atmosphere for innovative activity.
